Awards ceremony invitation

On Thursday, Feb. 2, a press conference will be held at Grand Central Terminal to announce the winners of MTA App Quest. And you're invited! Here are the details:

Location: Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central Terminal (42nd St. and Park Ave.)

Public voting opens today

All eligible submissions for MTA App Quest have been posted! 

Browse the Submission Gallery and vote for your favorites daily until January 11. Your vote will help determine who takes home the 2 Popular Choice Awards (more than $3,000 in cash and prizes).

Supporters can vote once per day per submission.

Submissions due Monday

We're approaching the submission deadline for MTA App Quest. In addition to more than $15,000 in prizes for the winners, participants will gain recognition by having their apps judged by a star-studded panel.

New submission deadline: Nov. 21

We hope to soon release a new MTA data set that has been in the works for some time. In order to allow you to explore and use any new data that we are able to release, we're extending the submission deadline for MTA App Quest to November 21 at 5:00 p.m. EST.

In addition, the MTA website now includes machine-readable codes for the official colors of the MTA's 23 subway lines, 11 Long Island Rail Road branches, 5 Metro-North Railroad lines, and E-ZPass. The colors are provided as RGB hex values, as well as Pantone PMS codes and CMYK…

Submission deadline extended

We presently expect to make additional data available on the MTA’s website, hopefully by October 1. Since we know app developers are eager to work with more data, the MTA and ChallengePost are extending the MTA App Quest submission deadline to 5 p.m. on October 17.
